Oh no, Tupperware filing for Chapter 11—say it isn’t so! I remember being a young married woman, attending my very first Tupperware party, filled with excitement. The games, the prizes—I wanted to order everything! Who could forget those kitchens designed around Harvest Gold and Avocado Green?
We were newlyweds on a tight budget—let’s face it, having no money isn’t really a budget! But those parties felt like pure magic. I’d daydream about the prizes I might win or the joy of hosting my own party to earn free products. Those were truly special times!
Life has definitely changed since then. We’ve become a society of throwaways, and those evenings spent storing leftovers in those iconic Tupperware containers with lids that needed to be burped feel like a nostalgic echo. I’ve shifted to more stylish, albeit pricier, ways to store food. Weck Glass Jars have become my new favorites, with their beautiful designs and practicality.
I especially adore the Weck 745 Tulip Jar for my sourdough starter and the 745 1/2 Liter for those little bits of leftovers. There’s something so satisfying about seeing what’s in a clear glass jar before it gets lost in the back of the fridge, destined to become a science project!
So, as we say goodbye to Tupperware today, I would like to say thank you for the memories, Tupperware, and for this nostalgic chance to travel down “Memory Lane.” 🥳✨
